Veritas SAT Prep Classes for Winter/Spring 2010The Veritas Approach: Unlike tests in school, which assess a student’s mastery of content, standardized tests aim to measure a student’s ability to reason. In addition to teaching the basic strategies and content that students need to excel, at Veritas, we address the test’s unique challenge head on, by teaching students how to read, think and focus under pressure. Matt Bardin founder and President of Veritas and co-author of Zen in the Art of the SAT (Houghton/Mifflin 2005), sees test-prep as a unique opportunity for learning and personal growth that complements the work kids do in school. The Veritas class improves students’ abilities as readers and thinkers, while teaching them to manage the anxieties that are a natural part of taking any test. Small classes emphasize a positive group dynamic that allows students at every level to master the test and perform at their best. OVERVIEW:This year Veritas will offer:
In the past, we have found that students who supplemented class work with even one or two one-on-one tutoring sessions excelled. This year, all classes will include coupons for 50% off the regular rate for two 90 minute, individual tutoring sessions. Financial aid is available for all classes and tutoring. All class sizes are limited to twelve students.
